Let m be a modulus and s₁…sₖ a list of steps applied cyclically. The residues mod m are purely periodic with period dividing k if and only if Σsᵢ ≡ 0 (mod m). That single fact governs a drifting table of eleven, a curve on a sphere, the scale of every rāga, the standing waves in a room, and the reason an unaccompanied choir sinks flat. Everything else is the theorem in different clothes.

what it does

The orbit 0,3,6,8 belongs to the partition, not to eleven, ten produces it too
Every rāga, thāṭ and maqām is a solution of Σdᵢ ≡ 0; the maths was already there
The comma pump: I-vi-ii-V-I in pure intervals lands 80/81, −21.51 cents, forever
0,3,6,9 is the most elegant orbit and the least musical. A finding, not a defect.

what it does not claim

Section 9 is a ledger of every error made in producing the work, eleven in a single session, several of which would have shipped had the figures not been rendered and looked at. Kept because a record showing only successes is not a record. And the standard the document sets itself: a coincidence is evidence only if you know how many coincidences you looked for.
