Most published pipelines are never re-run by a second party. Replicate takes a paper with code and attempts an honest reproduction, reporting exactly where it diverges, which is a finding, not a failure.
what it does
- Runs the artefact, records every deviation from the paper
- Reports partial reproduction rather than a verdict
- Publishes the negative result with the same weight as the positive
